Works in court. No signal needed.
Tomorrow's board, today's brief and the outcome sheet are saved on your phone. Work with no signal, and everything syncs when you are back in range, even on a 3 GB Android.
In the corridor
Court mode
The phone goes silent, dims and shows a single column. When you leave court mode, it asks what happened.
Record the outcome in two taps
Choose adjourned, part-heard, order reserved or disposed. Tick who appeared: you, colleagues or outside counsel. Pick who gets the court's directions, and they become that person's tasks.
Dictate what happened
Tap the microphone on “what actually happened” and speak in Hindi or English. The phone itself turns your speech into text, which you can edit. If the phone can't do this, it tells you, and you can type as usual.
Tell the client in one tap
The update is drafted from the outcome. You check it and send it.
Working offline
Everything waits and syncs
Outcomes, expenses, photos and enquiries are saved on the phone. They are sent when signal returns, in order and only once.
See what is waiting
A Pending sync screen lists every saved entry and photo with its time. You can cancel any item until the server confirms it got it.
Next week first
On a slow connection, the next seven days' listings load first. You can use the board before the rest of the files arrive.
Money and papers on the go
Expenses with a receipt photo
Add an expense at the registry and photograph the receipt. It is charged to the case and the clerk's float.
Evidence photographed at court
Tag the witness, the issues and the side. When the photo reaches the server, it is added to the exhibit register with its document.
Walk-in enquiries
Note an enquiry in the corridor, with a follow-up, before the person walks away.
Kept secure
Biometric lock
Unlock with your fingerprint or face. You can make auto-lock quicker, but you can't turn it off.
Privacy
Discreet mode, screenshots blocked on case screens on Android, and client names hidden on the lock screen.
Lose the phone, keep the file
Remove the device from the web app. The next time it connects, it deletes its local data before showing anything.
Cover requests
Ask a colleague to cover a hearing, or accept a request from one. The covering advocate sees the request before getting access to the case.
Devices
Android first
The phone and tablet apps run on Android today. An iPhone version is planned. The web app works in any modern browser.
What this looks like on a real day
Tis Hazari at 11 AM
There is no signal in the courtroom.
A stolen phone
A clerk's phone is stolen.
The 3 GB phone
The connection is slow and the phone is small.
These are example stories. The names and matters are made up. The features are real.
